Dr Balázs Gellér gave a lecture at the School of Law, University College Cork (UCC), Ireland on 25 October 2023. In his lecture on international criminal law, he spoke about the development of the principle of ne bis in idem and the essence, trends and expected consequences of the European Court's case law. The focus of his lecture was on the Hungarian and Irish cases. The UCC Law School is currently the highest ranked law school in Ireland. .
