Memorial meeting for Erdei Árpád

A memorial meeting for the first anniversary of the death of Professor Árpád Erdei will be held on April 8, 2022 in the Faculty Council Hall of ELTE ÁJK. Professor Dr. Balázs Gellér will also give a lecture entitled "Proposal for a New Interpretation of the Concept of Crime and Abstract Facts". A number of criminal law issues will be discussed at the conference, including the testimony given at the preparatory meeting and the issues of arrest.

Successful lecture on criminal organisation

2021. December 13.

 

Dr. Balázs Gellér has held his presentation on criminal organisation in Kecskemét.  More than seventy colleagues from Bács-Kiskun County participated in the event, in person and online. In his presentation, Dr. Gellér focused on the historical background of criminal organization, its constitutional law aspects and the practice of courts (Supreme Court (Curia)and Regional Courts of Appeal (Ítélőtábla).

Professor Balázs Gellér, lawyer, will give a lecture on the  3rd of December 2021 in Kecskemét, on the invitation of the Bács-Kiskun County Bar Association, in the Aula of the Bar. The topic of his presentation will be the definition of criminal organization, and the presentation can be followed by colleagues in person and online majd.

First place at BÜK moot court competition

2021. November 8.

 

Dr. Zsolt Tibor Szabó, trainee lawyer of our Law Firm has won the regional moot court competition of the Budapest Bar Association (BÜK). By winning this year's moot court competition organized annually by BÜK, dr. Zsolt Tibor Szabó won the right to participate in the national final. The lawsuit for the regional moot court competition dealt with the misdemeanor of negligent homicide (a fatal injury caused by a weapon used in filming). The competition is open to those registered by BÜK as trainee lawyers.

On the 12th of October 2021, a conference titled 'Unfinished Report' will be held in the Great Hall of the Aula Magna of Eötvös Loránd University, where Dr. Gellérné dr. Éva Lukács will hold a presentation. The title of the presentation is „Mobility of our citizens - Patient mobility in the EU, participation of Hungarian insured persons and COVID 19.

Bronze medal at International criminal law competition

2021. September 29.

 

 

 

The ELTE Law Students' team, prepared by Dr. Bernadett Bárányos, member of our Law Firm, won a bronze medal on September 24-27, 2021. The Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania hosted an International competition in criminal law in Cluj-Napoca, with the participation of 9 faculties.

The book on 'EU Economic Law I.' has been published! The book is edited by Prof. Dr. Miklós Király, Head of Department (ELTE) and one of the authors is our colleague, Dr. Gellérné dr. Éva Lukács PhD. The book provides up-to-date knowledge of EU internal market law, including the free movement of goods, persons, services and capital, and outlines the main features of the EU's common commercial policy.
